☀️ The summer of 2026 has brought with it one of the most special editions of the Soletes Repsol 2026.
For the first time, the Repsol Guide has put the selection in the hands of more than 60 personalities from the world of culture, sport and communication, who have revealed their favourite places to eat and drink well without great luxuries.
The result: more than 250 new Soletes spread across Spain, joining the more than 5,500 establishments that already display this yellow distinctive.
At The Sun Places, where luxury is defined by authenticity and memorable experiences, we have set out to explore this map of recommendations to offer you an exclusive selection of the Soletes in our destinations: Seville, Cádiz, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Barcelona, Madrid, Córdoba, Marbella and the Costa Brava.
While the traditional Soles Repsol recognise high-end cuisine and gastronomic excellence in prestigious restaurants, the Soletes are designed to celebrate authentic, affordable and charming spaces: bars, taverns, cafés, pastry shops, wine bars, cocktail bars, ice-cream parlours, beach bars and terraces.
They are those places you would recommend to a friend because they have soul, history and a tempting offering.
In this edition, the director of the Repsol Guide, María Ritter, explained: "We are all looking for pleasant, affordable places to relax and enjoy our holidays, just like the cultural figures who have generously revealed their favourite places to us".
📜 What are the Soletes Repsol and why were they created?
The Soletes Repsol 2026 were born in the summer of 2021 as a distinction complementary to the traditional Soles Repsol.
Their objective is to recognise places with soul, trusted bars, recognisable terraces and tables where pleasure is closer to a well-poured beer than to a gourmet liturgy. The key difference between the two distinctions is:
- Soles Repsol: High-end cuisine and gastronomic excellence (808 restaurants in 2026: 46 Three Suns, 173 Two Suns, 589 One Sun).
- Soletes Repsol: Authentic, affordable and charming proposals (more than 5,500 establishments across Spain).
The Soletes recognise the value of businesses that have withstood the passage of time and trends without losing their charm and clientele, and also support young people embarking on their first projects.
🎭 The celebrity edition 2026: why is it so special?
The fifteenth edition of the Soletes Repsol 2026 has taken an innovative turn: more than 60 actors, musicians, comedians, presenters, writers and athletes have acted as gastronomic "prescribers". Some of the names that have taken part are:
- Actors and actresses: Antonio Resines, Toni Acosta, Isabel Coixet, Clara Alvarado, Javier Gutiérrez, Marta Hazas, Pepón Nieto, Pablo Carbonell, Paz Padilla, Silvia Abril, Fele Martínez.
- Musicians and bands: Fangoria, Arde Bogotá, Miranda!, Alcalá Norte, Miss Caffeina, Los Planetas, Los Nikis, Sexy Zebras, Viva Suecia, Siloé.
- Presenters and journalists: Marc Giró, Carlos Sobera, Arturo Valls, Ion Aramendi.
- Writers: Juan Gómez Jurado, Antonio Muñoz Molina, Lana Corujo.
- Sportspeople: Paquito Navarro (padel).
Andalusia adds a total of 38 Soletes in this edition, with Cádiz being the most awarded province with 14, followed by Almería and Granada with 6, Málaga with 5 and Seville with 4.
The grand launch party was held on 22 June 2026 at Cortijo La Loma, in La Isleta del Moro, within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park (Almería).
📍 The new Soletes Repsol 2026 in Seville
In Seville, four establishments have been honoured, selected by two famous people closely linked to the city:
Maui de Utrera (flamenco singer-songwriter) chose two venues from her hometown, Utrera:
- El Latino: Founded in 1993, it stands on an old 18th-century mill. It stands out for its terrace, live music and its famous "granís" cocktail (Utrera anise slush). Maui says: "You put a straw in it, look up at the sky, watch the sunset and you're already happy".
- Minipar: A place "surrounded by trees, very close to the convent of the Virgen de Consolación". Maui recommends going for breakfast: "They have some toast made with mollete bread, onion bread... if you combine them with pringá from Utrera, you'll lose your senses".
Paquito Navarro (padel player) focused on his lifelong neighbourhood, Los Remedios:
- Heladería Jijona: Founded in 1968, it is one of the most classic ice-cream parlours in Seville. It offers artisan ice creams with traditional flavours (the nougat one stands out), as well as meringue milk, horchata and nougats at Christmas.
- Sloppy Joe's: Also in the Los Remedios neighbourhood, selected by Paquito Navarro.
🌊 The Soletes Repsol 2026 in Cádiz: the reigning province
Cádiz has been the big winner in Andalusia with 14 new Soletes. The celebrities have chosen the Cádiz coast for their recommendations:
- Carlos Sobera recommends La Loma in Chiclana de la Frontera, famous for its sunsets and its fish.
- Los Nikis opt for Venta Molina on El Palmar beach (Vejer de la Frontera), where they recommend the pisto with egg and potatoes.
- Paz Padilla, Antonio Carmona and Pepón Nieto have also made their recommendations known in the province.
In the spring 2026 edition, the province of Cádiz had already added 8 new Soletes, including La Tarara (Olvera), La Peña del Atún (Barbate) and El Horno.
🍷 Soletes Repsol 2026 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda: seven establishments with pedigree
Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the cradle of manzanilla and seafood gastronomy, adds seven establishments with a Solete, representing the essence of its gastronomy. Here is the full list:
- Casa Gaspar (Beach bar): The newcomer to the list, founded in 1978. Located on the Paseo de la Reyerta, at the mouth of the Guadalquivir, it has been recommended by Maui de Utrera, who highlights its "home cooking, clams, shrimp tortillitas..." and the privilege of eating "with your feet in the sand".
- La Rondeña (Café): A classic for enjoying a good coffee and breakfasts in a traditional atmosphere.
- La Gitana (Bar): Located in the Plaza del Cabildo, it is a bar with a lot of "pedigree", known for being the perfect place to snack and "get your appetite going with a good shrimp tortillita".
- Casa Balbino (Bar): Another essential bar for immersing yourself in Sanlúcar's gastronomic tradition.
- Barbiana (Bar): A venue that completes the offering of bars with pedigree and local flavour.
- La Campana (Restaurant): Specialising in traditional seafood cuisine, it is famous for its "casserole of corvina with clams and prawns" and its "peculiar seafood salad".
- Helados Toni (Ice-cream parlour): A must-visit to cool down with the creamiest artisan ice creams in the city.
🏙️ Soletes Repsol 2026 in Madrid: traditional taverns and neighbourhood corners
Madrid has received several recommendations from celebrities who have wanted to highlight the most traditional cuisine of the capital:
- Arturo Valls chose Viuda de Vacas, a tavern in the La Latina neighbourhood where Madrid-style tripe is one of the most celebrated dishes. The presenter says: "It reminds me of my arrival in Madrid and those sunny Sundays full of people with well-poured beers".
- Arturo Valls also recommends La Copita Asturiana, a "landmark neighbourhood place" with fabada and cachopo.
- Fele Martínez, actor from "Machos Alfa", chose Café Pavón and Los Tiernos. The actor highlights that Café Pavón is "very, very good".
- Alcalá Norte suggests enjoying a burger at Crítico, located in the Ciudad Lineal neighbourhood.
🍽️ Soletes Repsol 2026 in Córdoba: three new ones in the capital
Córdoba has added three new Soletes in the spring 2026 edition, all in the capital:
- Cielito Lindo (Mexican restaurant)
The city of Córdoba now has a total of 49 Soletes in the Repsol Guide.
🌴 Soletes Repsol 2026 in Marbella and Puerto Banús: luxury also has its corners
In the province of Málaga, which adds 5 Soletes in this edition, the following stand out:
- Back, in Marbella, which has received a new Sol Repsol.
- Heladería Solo Qui in Puerto Banús, recommended by presenter Carlos Sobera.
Málaga now has a total of 30 Soles Repsol, consolidating itself as a top-level gastronomic destination.
🏖️ Soletes Repsol 2026 on the Costa Brava and Barcelona
The Costa Brava, with its mix of coves, fishing villages and seafood gastronomy, is another of the destinations where celebrities have focused their attention.
Although the detailed list of Soletes on the Costa Brava for this edition is not fully broken down, Catalonia leads the national scene with 122 restaurants with Soles Repsol in 2026, making it the region with the most recognitions in all of Spain.
Among the restaurants with Soles in the province of Girona are Amar, Besta, Eldelmar and Prodigi in Barcelona, and Fontané in Sant Julià de Ramis.
🏆 Soletes Repsol 2026 vs. Soles Repsol: key differences
It is important to understand the difference between the two distinctions from the Repsol Guide:
- Soles Repsol: High-end cuisine and gastronomic excellence. They recognise prestigious restaurants with 1, 2 or 3 Suns. In 2026 there are 808 restaurants with a Sun, of which 46 have Three Suns, 173 have Two Suns and 589 have One Sun.
- Soletes Repsol: Authentic, affordable and charming proposals. They recognise bars, taverns, cafés, ice-cream parlours, beach bars and wine bars. There are more than 5,500 establishments across Spain.
While the Soles are the highest recognition for high-end cuisine, the Soletes are a celebration of everyday gastronomy, of those places where pleasure lies in simplicity and authenticity.
