An Event with a Seal of Guarantee: Unity Makes Strength
Cuchareando 2026 in Seville is not just a tapas market. It is the result of the collaborative work of three key entities for the promotion of the city: the Seville and Province Hospitality Association, the Seville Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism, and Seville City Office.
Together they are undertaking the organization of festivals dedicated to Seville's most iconic tapas, following in the footsteps of huge successes like Caracolia (dedicated to snails) or 'Con 2 panes y 1 pico' (focused on montaditos and ensaladilla rusa). Events that, like this one, not only exceeded all expectations but also contribute to preserving our gastronomic culture.
This was expressed by Antonio Castaño, Manager of Seville City Office, who highlighted "the importance of preserving tapa culture as local heritage."
Along the same lines, Julio Moreno, president of the Seville Academy of Gastronomy, defended the need to "strengthen the union between institutions to promote something that is part of the Sevillian lifestyle, such as tapas."

The Stars: Thirteen Establishments for a Luxury Tapas Tour
Along the banks of the Guadalquivir River, each establishment will have its own stand where it will offer two options: a stew tapa and a dessert. The best stew and dessert will be chosen from among all participants through a culinary competition.
In this edition, the provincial representation is stronger than ever. Thirteen establishments will participate, distributed among different tents, offering not only their best cuisine but also a lively atmosphere with musical performances and live demonstrations.

There will be two awards: one given by a jury made up of members of the Academy of Gastronomy, and another by the public, who can vote for their favorite tapa and dessert using a QR code available at each stand. Who will succeed Manolo Mayo and his tomato soup, or Catering Medinaceli and their tocino de cielo (a type of flan), winners of the previous edition? We'll have to wait to find out.

To access the venue and sample the offerings of each bar and restaurant, you'll need a ticket, which costs four euros and includes one drink. This can be purchased at the entrance to the venue.
On the other hand, the price of the tapas varies between €3.50 and €4.50 because "some tapas are made with more expensive ingredients," explained Manolo Castilla, the event organizer, to Gurmé Sevilla.
