Seville Guitar Festival 2026

Seville Guitar Festival 2026

🎸 Some festivals are heard, but others are felt. The Seville Guitar Festival 2026 belongs to the second category. For more than a month, the city and its province become the world epicentre of the six strings, with a programme that intertwines classical and flamenco guitar, historical instruments and contemporary creation.

The common thread of this 17th edition is Manuel de Falla, born 150 years ago. His 'Homenaje a Debussy', the only work he originally wrote for solo guitar, serves as the starting point to explore a world of sound that ranges from the classical to the jondo, from tradition to the avant-garde.

At The Sun Places, where luxury is defined by authenticity and memorable experiences, we would like to invite you to discover the concerts, the venues and the stars of a festival that beats with the heart of Andalusia.

📅 When is the Seville Guitar Festival 2026?

The festival runs from 5 October to 7 November 2026. As of today, it has already passed its halfway point, with the first days dedicated to 'La Perla', the guitar built by Antonio de Torres in 1882, and the opening concerts in Tomares and Santiponce. The closing will take place on Saturday 7 November with a double concert at the Real Fábrica de Artillería. Some of the most eagerly awaited events of this edition are still to come.

📍 Where is the Seville Guitar Festival 2026 held?

The festival spreads across the city of Seville and several towns in the province. In the city, the main venues are:

  • Casa Fabiola: hosts the 3rd 'Los Tesoros de la Guitarra Española' (Treasures of the Spanish Guitar) series, with concerts by Ausiàs Parejo, Juan Gómez 'Chicuelo', Jerónimo Maya, Javier Arcos and John Griffiths.
  • Espacio Turina: hosts a large part of the programme for late October and early November, with the Sala Silvio as its main stage.
  • Museo de Bellas Artes (Museum of Fine Arts): home to the 3rd Music and Painting series, with Marcos de Silvia and Raphaella Smits.
  • Real Fábrica de Artillería: for the first time, it hosts the festival's three closing nights (5, 6 and 7 November).
  • Espacio Santa Clara: hosts the OFF Festival featuring the new generations.

In the province, the festival reaches Tomares, Santiponce, Villanueva del Ariscal, Espartinas and Carmona.

🌍 What the Guitar Festival means for Seville and The Sun Places

The Seville Guitar Festival 2026 represents the city's ability to project its musical culture beyond its borders. It is an event that celebrates the instrument that best defines Andalusian identity, building a bridge between classical and flamenco guitar, between Falla's legacy and contemporary creation.

For The Sun Places, this festival embodies the luxury of authenticity: the opportunity to enjoy unique concerts in heritage venues such as the Real Fábrica de Artillería or the Museo de Bellas Artes, and to connect with the musical essence of Seville.

Our Luxury Apartment Rentals in Seville are perfect, as they are located in the heart of the city, close to the festival's main venues, so you can enjoy this experience with the utmost comfort and exclusivity.

This festival joins other initiatives that have celebrated Falla throughout 2026. The grand finale will come on 14 November with the premiere of 'Réquiem a D. Manuel de Falla' at the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz, a show that will bring together the voice of David Palomar with the Orchestra and Choir of the University of Cádiz. Further proof that the guitar and the memory of the Cádiz-born composer are more alive than ever in Andalusia.
