Luminiscence Sevilla, the light and music show that transforms San Jacinto in Triana

✨ There are experiences that will transform the way you look at a building. Luminiscence Sevilla will be one of them. After conquering more than 2,000,000 spectators across Europe and passing through cities such as San Sebastián and Barcelona, this immersive show will arrive in Andalusia for the first time with a proposal created specifically for the Parish Church of San Jacinto, in the heart of the Triana Neighbourhood.

For approximately 50 minutes, the audience will remain seated in the nave while the walls, vaults and columns of the temple, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, become the stage for an audiovisual journey through the history of the building and the neighbourhood.

At The Sun Places, where luxury is defined by authenticity and memorable experiences, we want to invite you to discover this unique proposal that will combine technology, music and heritage in a way that no conventional guide could reproduce.

The proposal will arrive in Seville thanks to Lotchi (Banijay Live) and will be produced in Spain by Banijay Iberia. Its Production and Purchasing Director, Juanma López Espino, has highlighted that the arrival in the city will mean "a very special step due to the enormous historical, artistic and symbolic value of the city, the Triana neighbourhood and the parish of San Jacinto".

The show has been conceived specifically for this enclave, with a narration that will use the history of the temple and its surroundings as a common thread, and that will turn its architecture and its legacy into the true protagonists.

📅 When is Luminiscence Sevilla?

The show will be held from 9 October to 29 November 2026 at the Parish Church of San Jacinto.

📅 How many performances will Luminiscence Sevilla have?

The performances will be distributed in different sessions throughout the week, with times that will vary depending on the day. The approximate duration of each session will be 50 minutes.

The sessions with live choir will be scheduled from Thursday to Saturday, while on the remaining days the experience will be offered with digital music. There will be sessions available in Spanish and English, depending on the date selected.

📍 Where will Luminiscence Sevilla take place?

The setting will be the Parish Church of San Jacinto, located at the confluence of San Jacinto and Pagés del Corro streets, in the very heart of the Triana Neighbourhood and very close to the Isabel II Bridge. The current temple was built after the transfer of the Dominican convent of San Jacinto in 1679 and was inaugurated in 1775, following the designs of the Baroque architect Matías José de Figueroa.

It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1990 and preserves inside a superb altarpiece from the convent of La Victoria, one of the most outstanding examples of Andalusian Baroque. Its privileged location will allow combining the visit to the show with a walk through Triana, a dinner on Calle Betis or a visit to the Triana Market.

🎭 What does the Luminiscence Sevilla experience consist of?

The experience will combine 360-degree videomapping, music and narration in a format that will completely transform the perception of the temple. The audience will remain seated in the church pews and, from that position, will watch as the projections envelop the walls, vaults and architectural elements, creating the sensation of being inside a living canvas.

The narration will guide the viewer through a journey through time that will cover the history of San Jacinto and Triana, with references to episodes such as the presence of Saint Ferdinand, the wedding of Charles V and Isabella of Portugal and other events linked to the temple and the neighbourhood. The common thread will be the Guadalquivir River, through a sailor from Triana who will experience a revelation.

Music will be another of the fundamental pillars. The experience will have two modalities:

  • Exceptional Version – Live Choir: a vocal ensemble of Seville voices will perform live a repertoire of sacred music and classical works under the vaults of the church. The sessions with choir will be held from Thursday to Saturday. Tickets from 23 euros
  • Original Version – Digital Music: will maintain the visual component and the original soundtrack, but without the choir performance. Tickets from 15 euros

The interior of San Jacinto will be distributed in two seating areas: the Gold Zone, from the back of the nave to its central part, with panoramic perspective; and the Silver Zone, from the centre to the presbytery, for a closer immersion in the visual compositions.

🏛️ San Jacinto: a temple with history in the heart of Triana

The Parish Church of San Jacinto is one of the most representative temples in Seville and forms part of the historical memory of the Triana neighbourhood. Its origin dates back to the transfer of the Dominican convent of San Jacinto in 1679. After the collapse of the first church in 1730 due to floods, a new temple was built following the designs of the Baroque architect Matías José de Figueroa, finally inaugurated in 1775.

Over the centuries, the complex has experienced numerous episodes linked to the history of Triana and Seville: it was a Dominican convent, barracks and warehouse during the Napoleonic invasion, a health space in times of epidemics, headquarters of historic brotherhoods and, since 1966, a parish. Its access square also recalls one of the hardest moments of the city, the plague epidemic of 1649, marked by the marble cross located on the corner of the temple.

🌍 What Luminiscence Sevilla will represent for Seville and The Sun Places

Luminiscence Sevilla will represent Seville's capacity to reinvent the way its heritage is enjoyed. It will be an experience that will not use the church merely as a stage, but will turn its architecture and its history into the protagonists of the show itself.

For The Sun Places, this proposal will embody the luxury of authenticity: the opportunity to discover San Jacinto from a completely new perspective, with technology and music as vehicles to connect with centuries of history.
