Halloween in Seville 2026, guide to terrifying plans and All Saints' traditions

🎃 There are cities that know how to transform themselves when October arrives. And the Andalusian capital is one of them. This year, the city fills with fantastic creatures, tunnels of terror and shows that will delight young and old alike. From an immersive experience at the Muelle de las Delicias to the return of Isla Mágica with its scare zones, to the traditional chestnut feasts held around All Saints' Day.

At The Sun Places, where luxury is defined by authenticity and memorable experiences, we want to invite you to discover all the plans the city offers to celebrate the most terrifying night of the year and the traditions that accompany it.

Halloween, or All Hallows' Eve, has its origin in the Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter.

With the arrival of Christianity, the Church designated 1 November as All Saints' Day, and the night before became known as All Hallows' Eve, from which the word "Halloween" derives.

In recent decades, this festival has crossed the Atlantic and has firmly established itself in Spain. But in Andalusia, and especially in Seville, the celebration coexists with traditions typical of these dates, such as the chestnut feasts and visits to cemeteries on All Saints' Day.

📍 Creepy Halloween: the immersive experience next to the Guadalquivir

The great novelty this year is Creepy Halloween Family, an immersive experience that arrives at the Muelle de las Delicias on 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 October and 1 November. The venue, located next to the river, will be completely transformed to host a story starring the witch Arsenia and the mischievous Pim, whose carelessness causes a powerful spell to make all the creatures of Halloween appear on the pier.

The proposal invites you to tour a setting set in an old industrial environment, with containers, iron structures and decoration inspired by a mysterious toxic spill. Visitors must solve enigmas related to the story while discovering what beings hide in the corners. The experience includes 30 characters, two mysterious tunnels, a treasure hunt of clues, magic and illusionism shows, and areas of food trucks and themed stalls.

The opening hours will be 10:00 to 21:00 on Saturdays (except 31 October, which will close at 19:00) and 10:00 to 20:00 on Sundays. Tickets cost 17.50 euros, with special offers for families of three and four members.

🎢 Isla Mágica: the return of the most complete terror

Once again, Isla Mágica becomes the great stage for these dates. From 3 October to 8 November, the theme park deploys a programme with more than 50 characters, new scare zones and passages of terror for all levels of bravery.

Among the novelties of 2026 are Asalto Maldito, a zone where the spectres of vengeful pirates assault the Fort, and Apocalipsis, a Mayan ritual with giant creatures and live fire. As for the passages of terror, El Reino de las Almas (a journey between the depths of the sea and the kingdom of the dead) and Terra Incognita (an expedition to the confines of the known world) are incorporated. For the little ones, La Cueva Encantada offers a route full of humour and magic with absent-minded witches and dancing mummies.

The park opens at weekends and some Fridays with special hours, and on 31 October it will have extended hours until midnight. It is the most complete option for those looking to spend a whole day of terror and fun.

🎤 Pica Pica: Operación Halloween at the Auditorio Cartuja

For the little ones in the house, on Sunday 25 October, the Auditorio Cartuja hosts the show Pica Pica: Operación Halloween, a playful and interactive children's musical where fun and fear go hand in hand. With two performances, at 11:00 and 13:00, the group will perform their most sinister songs alongside classics such as "Los Esqueletos", "El Vampiro Negro" or "La Mané".

Tickets are available from 24 euros and the show lasts approximately 60 minutes. It is a perfect opportunity for children to enjoy these dates in a safe environment adapted to their age.

🌰 The chestnut feast and All Saints' Day: tradition and flavour in Seville

Beyond the more commercial plans, these dates are closely linked to one of the most deeply rooted autumn traditions in Spain: the chestnut feast. Although it is especially popular in Catalonia and other regions, in Andalusia it is also celebrated around All Saints' Day, on 1 November.

The chestnut feast consists of a family or friends' gathering where roasted chestnuts, sweet potatoes and typical seasonal sweets are eaten. In Seville, the tradition remains alive in many homes, where street stalls of roasted chestnuts are not missing during the weeks before and after All Saints' Day. The aroma of roasted chestnuts thus becomes the unmistakable perfume of the Seville autumn.

All Saints' Day in Seville has its own character. In addition to visits to cemeteries to honour the deceased, the city offers unique traditions such as the Night of Don Juan Tenorio, a theatrical street parade that has toured the Santa Cruz Neighbourhood since the seventies, with verses and music that envelop the labyrinth of streets under the moon. Also noteworthy is the Cachetía in nearby towns such as El Ronquillo, an Andalusian version of "trick or treat" in which children go from door to door reciting rhymes such as "Cachetía, tía, tía, como no me dé una castaña, me quedo aquí 'to' el día", receiving walnuts, almonds, chestnuts and sweets.

At the San Fernando Cemetery, a night-time theatrical visit is held that recreates the third act of Don Juan Tenorio, lit by oil lamps, and which allows you to discover the inscriptions and tombs of Seville personalities such as Joselito "El Gallo". It is an experience that combines history, theatre and memory in a unique setting.
