1 July 1900 was a historic date for Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The culmination of this year of celebrations came on 19 October, when Sanlúcar hosted the Grand Final of the National Novillada League. A nationally broadcast event on Canal Sur Televisión, in which five specimens from the prestigious Fuente Ymbro herd would be fought, serving to close a historic year for the El Pino bullring.
