The history of the Xmas Market in Madrid dates back to 2021, when Madrid Luxury District, the association of luxury brands of The Golden Mile, decided to organise an ephemeral Christmas market on Ortega y Gasset Street, inspired by the great markets of European capitals.
The first edition, inaugurated by Councillor D. José Fernández Sánchez, featured the participation of the main brands of the district, such as Cartier, Bvlgari, Celine, Tiffany & Co., Loro Piana and Rosewood Villa Magna, and was held for the benefit of the Aladina Foundation.
The success was immediate, and Madrid Luxury District decided to repeat the experience.
In 2022, the Xmas Market in Madrid was held again, expanding the number of stalls and consolidating its charitable nature.
In 2023, the third edition brought together 55 brands and artisans, maintaining the collaboration with the Aladina Foundation and incorporating the Prodis Foundation for the first time.
In 2024, the Xmas Market in Madrid reached maturity with its fourth edition, which featured more than 60 brands and was inaugurated by the founder of MLD, Inmaculada Pérez Castellanos, and municipal authorities such as Marta Rivera de la Cruz, delegate for Culture, Tourism and Sports, and the founder of the Aladina Foundation, Paco Arango.
