For 2026, a record participation of at least 25 establishments is expected, including some of the most exclusive hotels in the capital: Four Seasons Madrid, Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Rosewood Villa Magna, VP Plaza España, The Principal Madrid, BLESS Hotel Madrid, and many others.
The organisation is run by the Asociación Empresarial Hotelera de Madrid (AEHM) and is sponsored by luxury brands such as Mahou (beer), Freixenet (cava) and Schweppes (premium soft drinks).
📅 When is the Hotel Tapa Tour Madrid 2026?
The Hotel Tapa Tour Madrid 2026 will be held on 25, 26 and 27 September 2026, from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00 (on Sunday 27th only until 16:00).
The date has been chosen to coincide with the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, an ideal time to stroll through Madrid and enjoy its terraces.
In addition, the event coincides with Mobility Week and the celebration of World Tourism Day, which adds an extra activity to the city.

The epicentre of the Hotel Tapa Tour Madrid 2026 is the centre of the capital, especially the neighbourhoods of Salamanca District, the art triangle and the Gran Vía area.
The participating hotels are distributed within a 3-kilometre radius, so it is perfectly possible to walk between them or take a short taxi ride.

📖 History of the Hotel Tapa Tour Madrid
The Hotel Tapa Tour Madrid was born in 2022 as an initiative of the Asociación Empresarial Hotelera de Madrid (AEHM) with the aim of revitalising the hospitality sector after the pandemic and making the gastronomic offering of luxury hotels known to a wider audience.
The first edition had 12 hotels and served 10,000 tapas in three days. The success was so overwhelming that the 2023 edition doubled the figures and by 2024 it had already become a reference event on Madrid's gastronomic calendar.
The 2025 edition (the fifth) reached 20 hotels and 40,000 tapas served, with queues of up to 30 minutes at the most popular establishments.
The 2026 edition, the one we are looking at, aims to be the most ambitious: 25 hotels, 50,000 tapas, and the incorporation of an official app to book time slots and avoid waiting.
In addition, this year there will be a Best Tapa Award given by a jury of gastronomic critics and another award chosen by the public through social media.

Also collaborating are Freixenet (cava), Schweppes (premium soft drinks), and the Community of Madrid through the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport.
