📜History: How were the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards born?
The Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards were born in 2012 from the hand of Ignacio Candau, president of the Seville Gourmets Association (AGS), as a private, non-profit initiative.
The objective was clear: to lead public recognition of the quality of the city and province's kitchens, highlighting the career of professionals linked to the restaurant industry and highlighting the best establishments and wineries in the territory.
🍽️ The Seville Gourmets Association: The soul of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards
The Seville Gourmets Association was founded in October 2012 and is affiliated with the National Association of Gourmets. It is made up of 40 professionals and entrepreneurs of various kinds, all linked in one way or another to the province of Seville.
Its founding objective is "the search, knowledge, promotion and dissemination of gastronomy, cuisine and restaurants, mainly in the province of Seville". To this end, they carry out various activities throughout the year, including gastronomic gatherings, restaurant visits, training sessions and blind tastings.
🤝 A commitment to solidarity from the beginning
Since the first edition, the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards have had a marked charitable character. The proceeds from the galas and cocktails are entirely destined for social causes.
Among the beneficiary organisations are La Casa de Todos, which works with vulnerable families in the Polígono Sur, the Zaqueo Association, dedicated to social reintegration, and the Parish of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in the Seville neighbourhood of La Plata. A tradition that reflects the most supportive side of the sector.
🏛️Organisation and categories of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards
The Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards are organised exclusively by the Seville Gourmets Association, without sponsors, to guarantee the independence and quality of the recognition.
The jury is made up of all the members of the association, who throughout the year visit different restaurants in the province and choose the winners based on gastronomic merits, values and career history.

- Professional Career Award: For professionals who have dedicated their entire lives to cooking.

🏆Winners of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards 2026 (11th Edition)
The 11th edition of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards was held on Monday 13 April 2026 at the historic Consulate of Portugal, on Avenida del Cid, the former headquarters of the Portuguese pavilion of the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition.
More than 200 guests gathered at a gala with a marked charitable character, the proceeds of which were destined for the welfare work of the Parish of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in the Seville neighbourhood of La Plata, managed by the Missionaries of the Divine Word.

🏆Winners of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards 2025 (10th Edition)
The 10th edition of the Fogones de Sevilla Gastronomic Awards was held on Monday 26 May 2025 at the Portugal Pavilion, bringing together around 200 guests. The event was hosted by Álvaro Moreno, journalist and presenter at Canal Sur, and had as its special guest the Official College of Veterinarians of Seville, as a nod to food chain safety.
