He was the pioneer in Seville of what is now known as "belenismo", an activity that since 2024 has been protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) of Andalusian Ethnological Interest.
Since that first edition, the fair has grown to become a national benchmark, attracting thousands of visitors every year. In its early days it had 28 craft stalls; today, it continues to bring together some of the best artisans and potters from Andalusia.
