The collection, still without an official name, will revolve around the cultural fusion between New York and Madrid, with garments that blend American tailoring with traditional Spanish ruffles and embroidery.
The presence of international top models and guests from royalty and the jet set is expected, turning the square into a catwalk of glamour.
📅 When is Carolina Herrera in Plaza Mayor 2026?
The Carolina Herrera parade in Plaza Mayor 2026 is scheduled for Saturday 12 September 2026, at 8:00 pm (although the photocall will begin at 6:30 pm).
The date has been chosen strategically to coincide with Madrid Fashion Week (MBFWMadrid), but with an independent and more exclusive character.
The duration of the event will be approximately one hour, followed by a private cocktail at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, which will only be accessible to VIP guests and The Sun Places clients who contract the complete experience.

📍 Where is Carolina Herrera in Plaza Mayor 2026 located?
The epicentre will be, as its name indicates, Madrid's Plaza Mayor. This Baroque square, built between 1617 and 1619, is one of the most photographed and beloved corners of the city.
For the parade, a 100-metre-long catwalk will be installed from the Casa de la Panadería to the Casa de la Carnicería, with stands for 1,500 spectators (although the capacity will be limited and invitations will be limited and named).
The choice of Plaza Mayor is not coincidental: Carolina Herrera wants to pay tribute to Spanish craftsmanship, and the square has traditionally been the setting for royal celebrations, bullfights and markets.

Carolina Herrera's relationship with Madrid dates back to 2018, when the Venezuelan-born designer based in New York received a tribute at the annual gala of the Spanish Sustainable Fashion Association.
But it was not until 2025 that the firm made the big leap: it presented a capsule collection within the Madrid Fair, at the IFEMA pavilion, with a resounding success that sold out invitations in three days.
That parade included evening dresses made with capes from the famous Seseña house, a nod to Madrid's tradition. The 2026 edition, the one we are dealing with, will be the first to be held outdoors and in a heritage space.
Carolina Herrera herself (the daughter, current creative director) has stated: "Madrid has a light and an energy that no other European city has. We want our parade to be an embrace of that energy."
In addition, the brand is expected to launch a limited edition of its "Good Girl" perfume inspired by Plaza Mayor, with a bottle decorated with motifs from the façade of the Casa de la Panadería.

The organisation is carried out by Carolina Herrera's own team in collaboration with the Madrid City Council (through the Culture and Tourism Department) and the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME).
The main sponsor is L'Oréal Paris, which will be in charge of the models' make-up and hair. Luxury brands such as Longines (watches) and Moët & Chandon (champagne for the after party) are also participating.
