Thousands of women, men and entire families gathered in the streets to participate in a day that goes far beyond the sporting aspect. The Women's Race 2024 in Seville was once again a resounding success in participation and, above all, in solidarity.

The 2024 edition was especially significant, as the Women's Race 2024 in Seville celebrated its twentieth anniversary. Twenty years since that first race that began with a few hundred participants and today brings together more than 20,000 runners.
Where was the presentation of the Women's Race 2024 in Seville held?
The official presentation was held on October 14th in the Dining Hall of the Seville City Council, led by Silvia Pozo, delegate of the Government Area of Sport and Health Promotion; Henar Calleja, spokesperson for the Women's Race; Valme Prado and Esperanza Rueda, runners of the Oysho team; and representatives of the main solidarity projects, NGOs and foundations with which the organization actively collaborates.

The surroundings of María Luisa Park and Plaza de España became the perfect setting for this celebration of sport and solidarity. Thousands of women, many of them dressed in pink t-shirts, filled every corner of the route with color and joy.
Tribute to women scientists
One of the most emotional moments of the Women's Race 2024 in Seville was the tribute to psychologist Maite Román, within the solidarity project #MásQueUnaMuñeca by Wanawake Mujer and Proyecto Esperanza.
This year, her scientific doll was presented, a recognition to some of the most prestigious female researchers and scientists at a national level. The #MásQueUnaMuñeca project is a pre-work workshop in which women victims of trafficking hand-sew dolls that are later sold at the race as a first step in their return to the working world. In this edition, 16 dolls were put up for sale during the runner's fair.
Solidarity: €1,779,277 in 19 years
The Women's Race 2024 in Seville has maintained its commitment to solidarity, as it has been doing since its origins. The race has always raised funds to:
- Raise awareness about the importance of early prevention
- Fight against social and educational inequalities suffered by women
In total, the amount donated in the previous 19 years amounted to €1,779,277, mostly destined to the Spanish Association Against Cancer and all kinds of solidarity and scientific projects, foundations and NGOs.
In this 20th anniversary edition, at the end of the circuit, a contribution of €80,000 was made to the Spanish Association Against Cancer. In addition, donations of €1,000 were made to:
- Wanawake Mujer, which fights against female genital mutilation and other forms of violence against women
- GEICAM Foundation, leaders in breast cancer research
- Clara Campoamor Association, which defends women's rights in all areas
- Intravenus, the Association of women creators to give visibility and support to women undergoing cancer treatment
- Solidarity race numbers and collaborations
In Seville, the possibility of acquiring up to 50 100% solidarity race numbers in favor of AMAMA Sevilla was offered, the association of women affected by breast cancer, with which the organization actively collaborates in recent editions.
Participants were also able to collaborate, within the +SOLIDARIAS campaign, with Acción del Voluntariado, a non-profit association that was born 8 years ago with the idea of projecting among young and old the importance of volunteering and cooperation.

- Central Lechera Asturiana, as main sponsor
- Numerous NGOs and foundations that work for women's rights and cancer research
- A team of thousands of volunteers who make everything work perfectly
The official presentation was attended by Inmaculada Barbadillo, from the Spanish Association Against Cancer; Conchi Illanes, responsible for Social Projects of the Acción del Voluntariado Association; Carla Herrera, from Pulseras Rosas; and representatives of AMAMA Sevilla, among others.
A festive and unforgettable atmosphere
Beyond the data and collections, the Women's Race 2024 in Seville was a real party. Women of all ages, many accompanied by their daughters, mothers or friends, ran through the streets amid laughter, music and an atmosphere of sisterhood difficult to describe.
At the finish line, on La Rábida street, hundreds of people waited to receive the runners with applause and cheers. Pink balloons, confetti and impeccable organization put the finishing touch to a day that, once again, demonstrated that women's sport and solidarity are an unstoppable tandem.
